Document Description
In July 1999 CSU certified the EIR for Aztec Walk Campus Master Plan (SCH# 1998111063). Project components in this Master Plan included filed lighting of the sports deck (known as Aztrack) located above Parking Structur 5 that was completed in 2001 (SCH #1998021065). The lighting infrastructure was installed with construction of the PS 5/sports deck but the fixtures for the field lighting of Aztrack and the soccer field, which included metal halide flood lights on six mast fixtures, were delayed pending funding. SDSU now proposesto install the lighting that was a component of the Aztrack Walk Master Plan as well as lighting for the adjacent Field 600 and will implement the EIR Mitigation Measures and Monitoring Plan adopted for Lighting and Visual Impacts that could result from the installation of the field lighting.
