Document Description
The City of Galt certified the Walmart Project Environmental Impact Report and approved the Walmart Project Conditional Use Permit in April of 2010. Litigation was filed in May of 2010 challenging the adequacy of the EIR prepared for the project. In January of 2011, the Superior Court determined that the EIR was adequate, except for the analysis of potential noise impacts from the forklifts to be used by the store. The noise chapter of the EIR was revised, in response to the Superior Court's finding, and the City Planning Commission approved the revised EIR and re-approved the project on June 27, 2011.
