Document Description
To deliver up to 18.000 acre-feet of Santa Barbara's 2011 approved SWP water supplies to KCWA in Reaches 12E and 13B of the California Aqueduct. In exchange, KCWA will return a portion of its future approved SWP water supplies equal to two-thirds minus losses of the total amount delivered to KCWA, to Santa Barbara in Reaches 33A through 38 in the Coastal Branch Extension of the California Aqueduct. Under the proposed water exchange program, for every three acre-feet of Santa Barbara's water delivered to the Westside District's, the Westdside Districts will return two acre-feet less up to 10 percent losses of their portion of KCWA's future approved SWP water supplies. The return of water to Santa Barbara shall be completed by December 31, 2021.
