Document Description
Installing two (2) new 1.25-inch conduits and replacing one (1) copper cable 36-inches under the channel bed to provide and improve fiber optic service to customers. A Caterpillar Ripper will pull a rip shank through the substrate and place conduit and cable as it moves forward. A minimum of 100 feet, 50 feet on either side of the channel, will be plowed at each bore location. In the event that the ripping process is unsuccessful in penetrating the substrate, a backhoe will be used to dig a 12-inch wide, 100-foot long, and 3-foot deep trench.
