Document Description
The purpose of this activity is to revise guidelines previously adopted by the California Energy Commission to govern the general administration of its Emerging Renewable Program pursuant to Public Resources Code section 25744. The guidelines were revised to 1) adjust the Program rebate level for small wind energy systems, 2) establish a rebate limit for individual applicants capped at 50% of the system's installed cost, 3) allocate remaining available Program funds evenly between technologies, 4) limit funding to individual technology suppliers and retailers, 5) revise the certification and test requirements for eligible small wind turbines, 6) revise and clarify the criteria for listing and de-listing eligible equipment for the Program, and 7) make other clarifying changes to better administer the Program. The CA Energy Commission and participants of the Program benefit from the adoption of revisions to these guidelines.
