Document Description
Subsurface exploration is required to support the engineering design effort for the proposed Arroyo Canal Fish Screen and Sack Dam Passage Project. Work is scheduled to begin in fall of 2011 and will be completed by March 2012. A total of 13 mud rotary borings will be drilled at proposed locations. Three (3) boring will be done in water. The borings will be drilled to depths of between 35 and 75 feet below the existing ground surface. In addition, up to two (2) test pits are proposed alongside the road between the Sack Dam east abutment and adjacent levee. All work will be conducted withinn gravel road or other previously disturbed areas.
