Document Description
Project will provide a relief sewer as a backup system to the existing Alamitos Pumping Plant Force Main to comply with the USEPA Order of March 2004, to reduce sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) and to commit to pipe rehabilitation, pump station upgrades, and capacity assurance measures. The Project will involve construction of approximately 2,200 feet of 10-inch diameter high-density polyethylene (HDPE) force main sewer and appurtenant structures to provide redundancy for the existing Alamitos Pumping Plant Force Main. The Project will be sized to match the capacity of the existing force main, and discharge to a nearby sewer with sufficient capacity.
