Document Description
IRWD is proposing replacement of the portable generators at each of the five BPS sites identified to improve the reliability of the water system during power outages, particularly when the outages are caused by fires in the canyons. This project would replace the portable generators at each of the sites with permanents electrical emergency generators each set with a diesel; engine and integral 24-hour fuel storage on a concrete pad. Four of the five permanent generators would be contained within a concrete masonry unit block wall for protection against fires. The fifth generator (Manning BPS) does not require this additional fire protection.
