Document Description
The Project consists of sediment removal and maintenance of an existing 18-inch diameter 29-foot long corrugated metal pipe culvert. The sediment will be removed from within the existing CMP using a Vac-Con truck. Silt fencing and wattles will be placed across the pipe outlet to completely contain any sediment-laden water at the outlet, and the pipe will be flushed from the outlet to the inlet. An approximately two-foot diameter by two-foot deep pit will be excavated by hand at the pipe outlet to allow the flushed water to collect. The Vac-Con hose will be placed in this pit and will vacuum out the water and sediment from the pipe as it is being flushed. All materials will be stored in the truck and deposited off-site in a contained area. The project will be conducted while the site is dry and all heavy equipment will be operated from the road. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0318-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
