Document Description
This project sponsored by the Forest Ranch Fire Safe Council involves the hand clearing of brush, small trees and dead woody debris along both sides of Crown Point Road to reduce the fire hazard and create a fuel break within the 60' road right of way. The project will be 17,360' in length and 60' in width, totaling 23.9 acres. Fuels will be piled for burning later in the season when moisture levels are sufficiently high enough to allow for safe disposal and minimal risk for escape. All work will be performed by hand crews, and all equipment will be limited to paved or graveled roadbeds and/or driveways. Rare Plant survey, Natural Diversity Data Base inquiry, and Cultural Resources survey have been performed for this project. No sensitive species, nor cultural resources were identified within the project area or immediate vicinity of the project area. CAL FIRE Region Archaeologist has been consulted, no issues or concerns were identified.
