Document Description
CDFG is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (SAA #1600-2011-0265-R5) to the project applicant, the City of Irvine. The applicant proposes to remove sediment from a 300-linear foot segment of Borrego Canyon Wash Located just upstream from the box culvert at Barranca Parkway. Vegetation located along the eastern channel bank will be left in place to protect the bank. Vegetation within the channel invert will be removed. All native willows and mulefat from the channel invert will be removed in such a fashion as to facilitate the creation of live stakes for use in protection of the newly created bank adjacent to the Metrolink parking lot.
