Document Description
The Permittee proposes to 1) repair an existing spillway and levee on two existing seasonal ponds, requiring an addition of a cutoff wall at the entrance and exit points of the spillway, repair a split in the west wall on the spillway with additional concrete, and install gopher wire on the northern face of the levee. 2) Installation of a new culvert for adequate capacity for storm water to reach the lower pond. This culvert will bury part of the creek and shall be included within the mitigation. 3) Partially filling of the upper agricultural pond. 4) Reconfiguring the lower pond by removing sediments, and deepening the pond for year round surface water and wetland habitat. The pond will be dredged and the clay layer will be saved to line the pond once the pond is dredged from 2 feet to 8 feet. A section of the large pond will be used as a sediment basin and will be maintained and shall be considered a permanent impact. The entire pond shore shall be revegetated with native plants.
