Document Description
Temporarily remove, disassemble and reassemble the Fresnel lens at the Pigeon Point Light Station Tower at the Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park to protect the lens while a renovation occurs in the tower. The lens will be moved to the adjacent Fog Signal building on a secure mount designed to stabilize, secure and protect the lens. All work will comply with the Department of the Interior's "Guidelines on the Care and Maintenance of Historic Classical Fresnel Lenses Transferred with their associated Lighthouses under NHLPA." The Fresnel lens will be returned to its original location upon completion of Lighthouse Tower restoration.
