Document Description
The project is limited to up to 8 geotechnical borings in Middle River for the purpose of investigation for a bridge foundation. The borings shall be drilled between 100 to 160 feet deep and shall be 6 inches in diameter. Five of eight borings shall be drilled rotary borings and three of eight borings shall be dynamic cone penetrometer borings. The total volume of channel removed shall be approximately 288 cubic yards. Borings shall be backfilled from within 5 feet of the top of the borehole with neat cement and packed mud on top of the neat cement. All borings shall be conducted from a shallow draft barge. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0123-3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
