Document Description
The project proposes construction of two pedestal structures. Each pedestal will house two token vending machines. The tokens will be used to operate bathing showers in the North Beach Campground. The pedestal structure will be approximately five feet wide by two feet deep by seven feet four inches high. The attached roof, with light fixtures within, will make the overall height nine feet. The pedestal will be constructed with reinforced concrete block. The concrete block and roof tile will match, as closed as possible, the color and texture of the adjacent restroom building.
The project includes construction of concrete pads foe the pedestals. One pedestal will be located at the southwest corner of restroom building #5. The other pedestal will be located at the northeast corner of restroom building #8. Both pad locations are approximately five feet from the buildings and on the existing building foundation base that extends approximately 10' from the restroom buildings. Both pads, each measuring seven feet by five feet by four inches thick, will be installed adjacent to the existing concrete sidewalk. The pad locations will be excavated to approximately eighteen inches deep. Base gravel will be installed to create the concrete pad base. Electrical connection is currently available at the proposed pad location at restroom #5. Electrical connection will be installed at the restroom #8 pad location by trenching approximately 18 inches deep by 1 foot wide by 60 feet long. Trenching will be in the existing building foundation base gravel.
A handicapped accessible parking space exists at each restroom building. The machines will be mounted on the pedestals in compliance with accessibility standards.
