Document Description
This project entails constructing "peeler pole" fencing around much of the South Beach parking lot of Torrey Pines State Beach. The intent of the project is to provide for additional public safety by keeping the public from crossing roads at inappropriate locations and to protect natural and cultural resources by restricting the places that the public can move from the parking lot onto the park road. The fencing type will match the existing fencing at the West Lot. Installing the fencing will require digging post holes on 8' centers and using cement to retain the poles. This project will be completed in multiple phases as volunteers and funds come available. The project leads will remain the same to maintain consistent materials and construction methods. DPR-approved standards project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.
