Document Description
CDFG is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (SAA # 1600-2011-0172-R5) to the project applicant, Orange County Parks. The applicant plans to conduct routine maintenance of the Loftus Basin that will include sediment and debris removal up to two-times per year. Herbicides may also be used to control vegetation growth within the Loftus Basin. The application of herbicides shall only occur by a licensed applicator and shall only use herbicides approved for use in an aquatic environment (such as rodeo). Routine maintenance shall also include the replacement of any rip rap dislodged from the upstream end of the basin. All activities within the Loftus Basin shall occur outside of the breeding bird season.
