Document Description
Approximately 61,000 cubic yards of riverbed will be excavated to access and repair damaged gallery wells. The air grid system used for back flushing will be replaced. If the damage is extensive, the gallery wells will be relocated closer to the embankment or slightly downstream to help prevent future damage. Once the gallery wells are repaired, approximately 5 feet of plaster sand will be placed over the drain-rock bedding, and native riverbed material will be backfilled over the plaster sand. Imported fill material will measure approximately 11,000-cubic yards. The approximate 0.25 acres of disturbed area will be restored to original conditions and contours.
