Document Description
The proposed Project is the relocation of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies who provide law enforcement and security services to the Hubert Humphrey CDC. Three deputies are currently assigned to the existing Security Monitoring Room at the facility, and the expansion is expected to include a Command Center. Upon completion of the CHC expansion, two of the Department's deputies will be assigned to the new Command Center. The Department will not be involved in the planning or construction of the CHC expansion project.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed Project involves the relocation of the Department's deputies who provide law enforcement and security services to an existing medical facility. Deputies currently assigned to the existing facility will be relocated to a new facility when the new facility is completed. The proposed Project is necessitated by the replacement and reconstruction of the existing facility, which is being managed by the DHS. The Department will not be involved in the planning or construction of the new facility.
