Coalition for Urban/Rural Environmental Stewardship (CURES) to provide project management, technical assistance, and outreach to growers; contract with growers in the Central Valley Regional Water Control Board Irrigated Land Regulatory Program selected for grant funding to implement/construct management practices to improve water quality in areas with known exceedances; and track, document progress of implemented management practices and development manual for maintenance and service for best management practices. Funding will be used for land already in agriculture or disturbed land.

Reasons for Exemption
Only areas that are currently in irrigated agricultural crops and not within a sensitive resource area are being considered for funding. The implemented management practices will not intrude into areas that are not already in agriculture and disturbed. CURES will be tracking information on the implemented management practices, coordinating with growers and coalition groups/watershed for monitoring, and providing outreach to growers and stakeholders. CURES will develop a manual for maintenance and operation of best management practices for on-farm systems.
