Document Description
The City-owned Palos Verdes Nature Preserve provides approximately 1,400 acres of open space. The Trail and Habitat Restoration Project is intended to improve public access based on the Council adopted Preserve Trails Plan and to restore habitat for endangered, threatened, and sensitive species throughout the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. The Project has the key ecological goal of restoring habitat for endangered, threatened, and sensitive species, preventing the spread of invasive weeds into existing native habitat, and creating a large contiguous block of high quality habitat while balancing passive recreational opportunities for the general public.
