Document Description
The Septic System Replacement Project at Zuma Beach replaces the existing septic systems (2 units) to restore and protect the coastal water quality. The beach restroom septic systems and leach fields are an average of twenty-five years old and have exceeded their useful life. These septic systems are continuously at risk of sewage overflow and require bi-weekly septic pumping to allow for the use of the restrooms and prevent potential public and environmental hazards.
