Document Description
This project is part of the continuous of current Alameda County Surface Mining Permit 30 (SMP 30) quarry operations as well as the 58-acre quarry expansion. The Permittee is expanding the overall production potential of the quarry by increasing the area under the permit by approximately 58 acres. The expanded quarry pit will occupy approximately 32.5 acres and a haul road and berm will occupy 2.44 acres within the 58-acre expansion area. Within the Revised SMP 30 permit boundaries, the active quarry will occupy 310 acres and remove an ephemeral stream channel. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2013-0128-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Jim Summers/Oliver de Silva, Inc.
