The site is currently a vacant, paved parking lot that has been used for overflow parking for District students and staff as well as storage of construction trailers and equipment. A restroom trailer is located at the east side of the site for use by those using the nearby playing fields. The restroom trailer would remain on the site. A total of 19 on-site parking spaces would be provided, in addition to an outdoor play area and garden. The existing CSC is used by about 28 children while the proposed project would accommodate 32 children. The CSC has seven fulltime staff and three part-time staff.
