Document Description
The project is limited to replacement of a partially collapsed CMP culvert supporting two road crossings with a new concrete box culvert with interior dimensions of 20 feet (width) by 14 (height). Prior to collapse, the CMP culvert was 430 linear feet in length. The new culvert will be approximately 400 linear feet, with 30 feet of creek day lighting. The new culvert will follow approximately the same alignment as the existing culvert. Replacement of the existing culvert will be done with open cut methods to minimize shoring. The project is at the intersection of El Portal Drive and Via Verdi Road in the City of Richmond, at San Pablo Creek, in the County of Contra Costa, State of California. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0327-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the City of Richmond.
