Document Description
The proposed project is a remedial action to address contaminated soils and sediments resulting from prior industrial uses of the site, and is undertaken to comply with Cleanup and Abatement Order # R1 2002-095 issued by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. A detailed remedial action plan has been developed for the site and concurred with by the Regional Board. The RAP calls for the demolition of the existing building on site, excavation of both upland and waterfront sediments, backfilling of excavations with clean fill, and offsite disposal of demolition debris and excavated soil and sediment. Work is planned to be conducted between April 1st and October 31st 2011. The project duration is estimated to be approximately 22-24 weeks.
