Document Description
CDFW has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0219-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the El Dorado County Community Development Agency, as represented by Ms. Donna Keeler. Project consists of the installation of a 110-foot long, 14-foot wide prefabricated bridge across New York Creek. Bridge abutments will be constructed on both sides of the creek outside of the 100-year floodplain and riparian corridor. The bridge will extend an existing multi-use trail from its current western terminus to Tam O'Shanter Drive, providing access from residential areas east of New York Creek to Stephen Harris Park and to other recreational areas and bike lanes/routes in the area. Fill material placed around the bridge abutments will extend into the riparian habitat associated with New York Creek, affecting approx. 0.001 acre of habitat. An approx. 02.023 acre corridor of riparian vegetation within the bridge installation area will be removed and/or trimmed by hand in order to allow installation. The construction will result in the removal of five valley oak trees and two willow trees.
