- Document Description
- The MCWD's Ord Community SOI amendment and annexation of territory into the MCWD's Service area in accordance with relevant codes and ordinances of the district and local jurisdictions, and the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Gov Reorganization Act of 2000. The proposed project study area totals 8,869 acres: there are 1,658 acres of the existing service area, 3,116 acres of the existing SOI and 5,753 acres of proposed SOI amendment and annexation project area. Project areas include portions of the cities of Marina and Seaside and unincorporated Monterey County within the Ord Community. The district circulated a previous IS/ND on an earlier project for public review in 2011. The proposed revisions under this IS/ND significantly reduce the areas proposed for annexation.
