Document Description
The project proposes the development of a six acre dog park and require approximately 45,500 cubic yards of grading. The dog park will include three separate off-leash dog areas: one for large dogs; one for smaller dogs; a third fenced area for an individual dog. A parking lot for 42 cars with crushed granite surface to allow rainfall percolation will be provided. A dirt pedestrian trail will be provided around the perimeter of the fenced dog park. Dog waste will be collected regularly by a private firm. Site access is from Felipe Road. Low level security lighting will be provided for evening use. Water fountains will be provided for park users and dogs. All on-site surface water will be collected a discharged to the hillside east of the site. Landscaping will be provided. The 3.0 acre that is in the County of Orange will be annexed into the City of Mission Viejo.
