Document Description
FYI Final
MID plans to build approximately 14 miles of 115 kV transmission lines, a new 230/115 kV substation, and 0.7 miles of 230 kV transmission lines to connect existing MID 115 kV lines on SR 99 west of the City of Merced to the PG&E Wilson Substation on the southeastern side of the city. The proposed route would follow Franklin Road south to Rice Road, turn east and follow Reilly Road, cross SR 99, follow McHenry Road, turn north, and run along property lines to the substation site on Mission Avenue. The project also includes underground overhead PG&E distribution lines where they conflict with the MID facilities, raising PG&E 230 kV and 115 kV lattice steel towers near Mission Avenue to provide clearance for the MID transmission lines, and undergrounding MID 21 kV lines where crossing PG&E transmission lines.
