Document Description
The Merced irrigation District (MeID) proposes to build ~14 miles of 115 kV transmission lines, a new 115/230 kV substation on the southeast side of the city, and a 230 kV interconnection line connecting to the Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) 230 kV system. The transmission line route would connect to the existing MeID 115 kV lines near Franklin Road, run south to Rice Road; turn east and follow Reilly Road and, after crossing Highway 99, turn north and run along Tower Road to the new Lyons Substation at Tower Road and Gerard Avenue. Approximately 4,500 feet of double circuit 230 kV transmission lines would connect the new MeID substation to the existing PG&E Wilson Substation on Childs Avenue.
