Document Description
The Project is limited to the Replacement and expansion of the existing Road 425B Bridge over China Creek. The new 52-foot long, 64 feet 5-inches wide bridge will be constructed using precast, pre stressed, voided slab concrete that will span the creek without the need for center piers. The bridge will be supported on seat abutments and spread footings. To reduce the potential for erosion or scouring a 2-foot thick rock slope protection will be installed and extend to the limits of the disturbed creek bank. The rock slope protection will extend approximately 10 feet upstream and 40 feet downstream along the east bank of China Creek. The new bridge will be constructed in two (2) phases to allow through traffic during construction. The existing Road 425B Bridge will be removed as part of the overall Project.
