Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2011-0154-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Soper-Wheeler Company LLC.
The Project involves removing approximately 50 yards of sedimentation from a pond to increase water storage capacity. Sediment will be placed and stabilized, and an existing road and pad will be shaped and rocked for water extraction from the pond. The rock pad will be sloped to drain away from the pond. Approximately 12,000 gallons of water may be extracted from the pond per day during timber harvesting operations, corresponding with filling a water truck 3 times. At a separate location of the project, trees will be directionally felled across a stream, and a tong thrower will be used to yard the trees across the stream.
