Document Description
The Neighborhood & Community Fuels Reduction and Biomass Removal Program, in Meeks Bay's district, addresses the Defensible Space issues of property and home owners. Each parcel owner must maintain their property to either PRC 4291 standards or, for vacant parcels, to the Meeks Bay FPD's Vacant Lot Ordinance of 2010. To meet these standards, various types of biomass must be collected and removed from these parperties, on an ongoing basis. Due to weather, most such work is restricted to the summer and early fall months. Work is usually done by either the home/parcel owner & familes, or may be hired out to various landscape/yar/tree service contractors.
