Cleanup of Boring Spoils
NOE - Notice of Exemption
CDFG is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (SSA #1600-2011-0202-R5) to the project applicant, VT Electric Incorporated. The applicant proposes to temporarily alter the stream/lake to remove and dispose of materials consisting of red clay (spoils) and remove items that were used to contain the red clay (wood sheeting, stakes, and sand bags). Additional services requested by the owner of the property include the cleaning of all rock and plant life impacted by the red clay spoil. The removal of all illegally dumped materials shall be conducted by hand crews only. No mechanized equipment is allowed within the active channel.
This project is a minor cleanup of illegally dumped boring spoils into an existing streambed. No vegetation will be impacted or removed as a result of the project, and only hand crews will enter the drainage to remove materials.
