Document Description
The project consists installing a maximum of 20 two-inch horizontal drains below the El Dorado Canal in order to eliminate saturated soil condition that are created by seepage under the canal bench, and to increase the stability of the canal. Project activities are as follows:
-Minor vegetation removal for access to the site.
-Placement of road base material where the roadway terminates.
-Placement of a permanent bridge crossing on the canal bench.
-Installation of a maximum of 20 two-high horizontal drains at the two groundwater discharge locations. The drains will extend to a depth of 200 feet, and at the outlet extend up to two feet from the hillside.
