Document Description
About 399 linear feet of stream bank treatments are proposed. Assuming mean annual bank retreat rates of 0.05 ft per year, and multiplying by a bank height of 10 ft and a 400 ft length of treatment, the mean annual sediment savings can be estimated to be about 200 cubic feet (7.5 cubic yards). In some locations, it appears that bank retreat rates are likely to be greater, hence this estimate of savings in probably conservative. Treatment to stabilize banks include boulder rip-rap placement on the lower banks, lay back on three bank sections, bank reconstruciton at one location near the well, and one cross-channel grade control structure.
