Document Description
The proposed maintenance dredging will remove, over the five-year life of this permit, a maximum of 12,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediment from the dock area and access channel, and restore operational depth at the facility. The dredged sediment is planned to be removed by clamshell dredge, and placed adjacent to the dredging area at a dredged material placement (DMP) site previously utilized for dredged material placement. The proposed DMP site is bermed and has no direct hydraulic connection to surface water.

The Sacramento Yacht Club Maintenance Dredging Project meets the Categorical Exemption criteria under Title 14, Section 15301 of the California Code of regulations, which exempts minor alterations of existing structures involving negligible or no expansion of use, and Section 15304 which exempts maintenance dredging where the spoil is deposited in a spoil area authorized by all applicable state and federal regulatory agencies.
