The widened portions will be held by 16-inch deep steel beams connected to the existing steel beams already under the bridge. Two to four drilled piers, 18 inches in diameter will be drilled on the upper edge of the creek bank. The piers will be drilled approximately 16 feet deep and filled with concrete and tied to the abutment. Soil excavated for the piers will be removed from the project area. The access to the site will be over the existing bridge and form the existing paved parking area adjacent to the creek. A portable drill rig and track mounted or bobcat drill rig will be utilized to conduct the covered activities. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0356-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
