Document Description
The SDSU-Imperial Valley Campus will be installing a community solar project suing concentrated photovoltaic solar technology on its Brawley campus. Most of the electricity produced will be sold to local homes and businesses in the Imperial Valley (5 MW). Enough additional electricity will be produced to fully power the Brawley and Calexico campuses campuses (approximately 1.5 MW). The Energy Innovations concentrated photovoltaic panels chosen for this project are more efficient and therefore require less space than other photovoltaic technologies.
