Document Description
The San Bernardino National Forest proposes to rehabilitate 30 miles of unauthorized single track trail within and adjacent to the Deep Creek Inventoried Roadless Area, the Deep Creek eligible Wild and Scenic River, a Critical Biological Land Use Zone, sensitive cultural areas, and threatened and endangered species habitat. Crews would use hand tools to rake, seed, plant, and slash these non-system trails. Regulatory signage and barriers will be placed at appropriate locations. Monitoring, watering, and patrolling would also occur. Volunteers and forest staff would also occur. Volunteers and forest staff would collect seed, grow native plants, and patrol and monitor restored sites.
