Document Description
Note: Please send comments directly to OPR: Attn. Scott Morgan. The proposed project would be located on BLM-administered lands in Riverside County about 6 miles north of the rural community of Desert Center, California. The site layout would include a substation, an administration building, operations and maintenance facilities, a transmission line, and temporary construction lay down areas, with a total solar facility footprint of 1,208 acres. The project's 230-kilovolt (kV) generation intertie line is proposed to be a shared facility with the planned transmission infrastructure of the adjacent Desert Sunlight Solar Farm, and the facility would be located on 52 acres of non-BLM managed land and 204 acres of BLM-managed land. The transmission infrastructure would interconnect the project to the Southern California Edison Red Bluff Substation (under construction).
