Document Description
The San Jose Water Company proposes to replace the Saratoga Hills Tanks located off Saratoga Hills and Pike Roads. The two existing 1.0 million gallon tanks will be replaced with two 1.4 million gallon tanks. The current tanks are approximately 110 feet in diameter and 17 feet in height. The new tanks will encompass approximately the same footprints but will be 29.5 feet in height. The proposed project would be completed in two phases; Phase 1 would include extensive tree removal, demolition of the existing Tank 1, construction of a new retaining wall and construction of the proposed new Tank 1. A temporary access road would also be constructed. Phase 2 would include demolition of the existing Tank 2, construction of the proposed new Tank 2, widening of the existing service road, construction of a new retaining wall and re-vegetation of the project site.
