The outdoor area would be located at the center of the site and would consists of a 50-meter by 25-yard competition and aquatics survival training pool with a maximum seating capacity of 500. Lighting would be provided on site for both nighttime activities and security purposes. Large scale signage and graphics may also be located in front of the building and would be visible to the I-80 corridor. Ingress and egress would be provided by two access points on Maritime Academy Drive. Approximately 95 parking spaces would be provided to serve the new facilities, with an additional 85 spaces to be developed as a future campus project.
