Document Description
Pursuant to the Marine Life Protection Act, the CA Fish and Game Commission and the CA DFG have redesigned and re-evaluated the CA North Coast Study Region's Marine Protection Areas. The North Coast Study Region consists of State waters between the CA/Oregon border and Alder Creek near Point Arena. The MPA redesign objectives are to: increase coherence and effectiveness in protecting the State's marine life and habitats, marine ecosystems, and marine natural heritage, as well as to improve recreational, educational, and study opportunities provided by marine ecosystems.
