The Berkeley Iceland Adaptive Reuse project proposes to rehabilitate the 53,334-sf Berkeley Iceland building consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Rehabilitation and convert the building to commercial retail use. The adaptation of the structure would include the removal of the existing internal and external berms that support the north and south building walls to accommodate off-street parking and interior improvements including the removal of the wood bleachers and construction of two interior mezzanine areas.
