Document Description
The Proposed Project will remove sediment from Devil's Gate Reservoir to protect the dam and its valves to reduce the risk of flooding in the communities located downstream along the Arroyo Seco. This effort will include removal of approximately 2,400,000 cubic yards of existing excess sediment in the reservoir in addition to any additional sediment that accumulates during construction. Sediment removal activities are expected to occur between summer 2015 and summer 2020. Reservoir management is expected to start after 2020.
