Document Description
The proposed project, is a 20 megawatt photovoltaic solar energy generating facility located on approximately 160 acres of vacant land in the southwestern portion of the City of Adelanto within San Bernardino County, north of Highway 18 between Caughlin Road to the west and Richardson Road to the east and Seneca Road to the north, the majority of which is proposed for development of the solar facility. The project site is vacant, relatively flat, undisturbed land. Native desert shrub species cover the site and a dirt access road traverses the northern portion of the site from southeast to northwest. Evidence of disturbance from off-highway vehicle use is prevalent throughout the site. Estimated to generate 40,996 MW hours in the first year of operation, the project would provide enough energy for approximately 3,820 homes.
