Document Description
The site was formerly used as a gas station & consists of a 1,200 s.f. garage/office structure with an attached 1,000 s.f. canopy. The former gas station contains one clarifier, one hydraulic lift, & a waste oil storage area. A portion of the site contains contaminated soils. Contamination is below required soil cleanup levels. The Project includes acquisition of property; demolition of the gas station, including the removal of a clarifier and hydraulic lift; potential implementation of a remedial action plan for contaminated soil; & construction of a monument sign for the North Shore Yacht Club. No development is planned for the site. Demolition of the site is expected to commence in late 2011/early 2012 & is expected to be completed within 60 days. The entire remediation process would take no more than 3 years & sign construction no more than 1 month.
