Document Description
The scope of work includes both water and sewer improvements. The water component of the project would replace approximately 9,3S4 linear feet (LF) (1.77 miles) of existing 8-, 12- and 16-inch diameter asbestos cement (AC) water mains by open trench method within the same trench alignment at greater depth with 8-, 12-, and 16-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) water mains; install approximately 7,301 LF (1.38 miles) of new 8-, 12-, and 16-inch diameter PVC water mains in new trench alignments by open trench method at depths ranging from 4 to 6 feet; and abandon approximately 4,219 LF (0.80 mile) of AC water main. The sewer component of the project would replace approximately 4,096 LF (0.78 mile) of existing 4- and 8-inch diameter cast-iron (Cl) and vitrified clay (VC) sewer mains by open trench method within the same trench alignment at a greater depth with 8- inch diameter PVC sewer mains; install approximately 2,484 LF (0.47 mile) of new 8-inch diameter PVC sewer mains in new alignments by open trench at depths ranging from 8 to 15 feet; and abandon approximately 2,289 LF (0.43 mile) of existing 8-inch diameter sewer mains. The project also includes curb ramps, street slurry seal, street resurfacing and traffic control plans.
